If you haven’t done so already, now is the time for you to take the opportunity to REGISTER before March 2nd rolls around and our pre-registration period closes! Never fear, though - if you show up at registration on Friday the 6th, we will not turn you away. We will simply ask for a few extra dollars. We’re reasonable people.

Thank you to everyone who helped in making it a truly great event, whether by volunteering or presenting or coming to listen. Academic dialogue requires dedicated participants; we were fortunate enough to have many in attendance.

The Society of Linguistics Undergraduates of McGill (SLUM) is hosting its second annual McGill’s Canadian Conference for Linguistics Undergraduates (McCCLU) the weekend of March 28, 2008. The aims of the conference are to promote undergraduate research and to foster the growth of the undergraduate linguistics community.

Undergraduate students, from any country, interested in participating are encouraged to submit an abstract for a 20-minute talk with a 10-minute question period on any topic pertaining to linguistics. Students may also submit an abstract for a poster on any topic relevant to linguistics at our poster session to be held during the conference.
