Public Transportation

The Linguistics department (1085 Docteur-Penfield) as well as the Students’ Society of McGill University building (3480 McTavish) are both most easily reached from the Peel Metro, the 24 Sherbrooke bus, and the 144 Avenue des Pins bus.

From the Sherbrooke bus or the Green Line of the Metro, you will have to walk north along Peel in order to reach the Linguistics department, or north along McTavish (take the Metcalfe exit of the Metro and walk north – Metcalfe becomes McTavish).

From the West-bound 144 bus, walk south from Peel and Pine to reach the Linguistics building; to reach the SSMU building, turn left on Dr Penfield, cross the street and walk down the steps.

From the East-bound 144 bus, to reach the Linguistics building, alight at the corner of Peel and Penfield and cross to the north-east corner of the street. To reach the SSMU building, walk east and walk down the steps.
